HydraFacial Treatment and Light Therapy at The Clifford Clinic on 2 Mar 2017

I realised how susceptible I was to pimple outbreak when I saw my own photo of my side profile.  I took that photo to show a before photo of my eyelashes before my eyelash extensions.  But horror of all horrors, I noticed there were pimples on my cheeks when normally they don't appear there and my skin looked super congested.  It could well be due to hormonal imbalance but it got me super worried.

The next thing I did was to watsapp Dr Gerard Ee from The Clifford Clinic for a solution.  I sent him that photo and asked him for his expert opinion on what treatment I should go for or what pills I should take to keep the pimples away.

Dr Ee was very kind to ask me to go over to his clinic so that he can take a look at my skin condition to decide on the next course of action.  I decided on a date and time and viola... I was back at The Clifford Clinic to get rid of my pimples.

After consultation with Dr Ee, he recommend HydraFacial Treatment and he strongly discouraged me to take any pills to curb my pimples from coming up as he said pills would be too aggressive a treatment and my condition did not warrant taking pills to get rid of the pimples.

To be frank, I was skeptical about HydraFacial as I thought, "How would a facial be able to help my skin?'  As far as I know, a facial is just cleansing, steaming, extraction, masking of the face, applying toner and moisturiser.

I kept asking Dr Ee if this would really work but he reassured me that it would.  As Dr Ee is the expert in skin problems, I decided to go with his recommendation and I was whisked into the facial treatment room a few minutes later.

This machine was the first thing that caught my attention.  I asked the therapist and she said that the products used for HydraFacial are kept inside and will be administered on the skin using the machine.

Wow... so super high tech!  I wished I have one at home to do my own facial.  With a click of a button, the machine would administer the right amount of products based on the steps of the treatment.

There were a total of 2 facial treatment rooms and both looked so comfortable.

Taking a selfie before my HydraFacial Treatment.  My skin looked ok here right?  Don't be deceived.. If you go closer, you would be able to see the pimples and redness... sob sob.

The therapist removed those dirt and oil from my face first before Step 1 of HydraFacial treatment.

After the therapist started on Step 1 of HydraFacial Therapy, I realised how powerful this machine was.  Each step was carried by this machine and therein lies the power of this machine to achieve instant and lasting results.

The Process

Step 1: Cleansing and Exfoliation
Dead skin cells are removed to reveal healthy new skin.

Step 2: Acid Peel
This gentle peel helps loosen dirt and debris from pores without irritation.

Step 3: Extractions
Painless, automated extractions using vortex suction to clean out pores.

Step 4: Hydration
Antioxidants and Hyaluronic Acide are Vortex-Fused to nourish and protect.

Experience Vortex-Fusion

Each treatment uses a series of patented HydroPeel tips-Each one has multiple abrasive edges to exfoliate the skin several times each pass, achieving better, more even results.

The unique spiral design creates a vortex effect to easily dislodge and remove skin solutions and potent antioxidants.

Results Time

Now... time to see if HydraFacial really worked for me.

OMG... my skin has never looked so glowy and radiant before!  Absolutely no makeup, no photo filter at all for the photo below.

ok, I gotta declare myself as a die-hard fan of HydraFacial Treatment from now on.  This is so amazing that I couldn't believe my eyes!

Remember I mentioned that I was very skeptical at first but results really speak volume.  My face had never been so clean before.  I can only say... WOW!

Afterwhich, Dr Ee prescribed the Light Therapy for me to kill all the bacteria on my face that was causing the breakouts.  A mask was placed on top of my face while the light shone on it.  There was no pain and I almost fell asleep on the bed.

ok, I am gonna do HydraFacial every month cos it works!

There is no downtime or discomfort, shows immediate results, targets specific skin concerns and provides an alternative to invasive procedures.

HydraFacial is going at S$128 (before GST) in The Clifford Clinic.  I think everyone should go for this treatment to throughly cleanse and protect your face with powerful anti-oxidants.
