Me and my new found friends listening intensely to the introduction of the new Freshkon Mosaic lenses.

Learning from others is one of the best ways to learn quickly...me looking at the MUA doing the demo.

The photographer caught me doing my own hands-on practical...hahahaha!

Love all these pretty girlfriends!

The photographer very naughty...caught the 4 of us asking Renee to help us take photos.....hahahaha!

I hardly do much shopping nowadays as I have been very occupied with work.  In fact, most of my shopping loots are from overseas.  One of my fav places to shop is in HK where I can find very interesting and sometimes quirky stuff from quaint little shops in every nock and crack along the streets.  However, I won't and will not be able to travel to HK anytime soon in the near future, hence I resorted to getting some clothes and stuff online for my Europe trip which took place end of April.

I got to know about this website http://www.taobao.com/ from a 93.3FM  when she mentioned about this website on air.  The website sells a variety of things from many different online stores.  It is like an online market whereby you can get to browse through different items offered by the stores.  Items range from accessories to clothings to household items and many more.  Wanted to grab a jacket and some warm leggings but was too busy to go shopping so I guess the best option is to buy online.  Managed to buy a jacket, some clothes, leggings and accessories.  To be frank, I don't think the quality of the clothes and some of the items which the stores sell is fantastic.  I think they are more of the buy, wear a few times and throw away.  After this, I don't think I will get anymore things from this website anymore.  But some of the items are quite interesting though.  Here are some of my fav.

This is a pink feathery hairclip. Wanted to buy the purple one but OOS.

Think I still prefer wearing it on a bun...

I think I'm a bit crazy to buy this pink ear mufflers..maybe I'm hoping that one day Singapore will snow. When that happens, then this will come into good use...hahaha!

Oopss.... not very clear..

My bling bling hoop earrings!

Somehow, I looked kinda strange with hoop earrings...maybe I'm just not used to it.

I bought other things as well but I wore them mostly during my Europe trip to London and Paris so didn't bother to take pictures of them.  Anyways, I wouldn't strongly recommmend this taobao.com cos you have to be very good to separate the good buys from the bad since the shopping is done online and you can't see the actual items before you make your purchase hence it is sort of a kind of gamble.

Just received another nuisance call from a blocked number again.  Great!  Again, I'm documenting this for the police report.

This person identified himself as David after he said, "Hi, Elaine!"

I asked him where he is calling from and he just said "I'm just calling to tell you that you're very sexy."

I just kept quiet and he didn't continue anymore.  Before I could let him "listen" to my downloaded music of Mozart, he put down the call.

I didn't know there are people who are so free to make nuisance calls.  I call them LOSERS.

M documenting this down for a police report.

Another person used a blocked number to call but this time round, he/she just called and didn't say anything.  So I decided to let Enzo speak to him/her instead by barking into the phone...hahaha!

Look at that little baby!  Sleeping comfortably on the purple furry rug in the living room.

Need to document this down for police report in future.

I received a nuisance call this afternoon and this was the conversation that transpired after I picked up my phone:-

Me: Hello

Nuisance Caller(NC): Hi.... Ermmm, is this Elaine?

Me: Yes.

NC: Hi, I'm Bernard. I'm calling to inform you that the item you reserved in our shop has arrived.

Me: Huh? What item? (I don't remember reserving anything from any shop)

NC: Oh...vibrator.

Me: No, I didn't reserve that. (Thinking that he called the wrong number)

Here comes the disgusting part....

NC: Would you find it offensive if I get this as a gift for you?

Me(Realising something is wrong, I started to scream at him): I DON'T UNDERSTAND....WHERE ARE YOU CALLING FROM???????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guessed he must be very scared after I raised my voice and pitch and he immediately hung up.

I suspect that this idiot must have gotten my number from my company's website and made this nuisance call as he addressed me by my name.  He used a blocked number as he thought that I can't track him down.  But he is so wrong as I could make a police report and get the telco to track his number and this nuisance caller down very easily.

Hence, for anyone who likes to make nuisance calls, this is a WARNING.  Don't think that you can get away easily.  You wouldn't want to end up like this dead insect on this badminton racket lookalike insect killer net.

Btw, Daddy bought this from New Zealand.  It gives out an electric zap when turned on and any pests can be killed easily as they are burnt by the electricity.

We went to Pearl River Palace Cantonese Restaurant in Suntec Convention Centre Level 6 sometime back. Can't exactly remember when it was but I think it was on 24 April, Sat, before we embarked on our London/Paris trip. We had ala carte buffet dinner and yes, the food was yummilicious!

This is just part of the spread that we ordered.

The different types of sauces...

Daddy trying his artistic shot again

Cheers to a wonderful dinner!

This was the first time I bought something from a local blogshop.  Not going to mention the name of the blogshop yet as I have an unresolved issue with them.

I have received my loots from them today but one of my items, a navy top, was not found inside the parcel.  I only got the teal coloured dress.  I have just emailed them and hoped that they can reply me soon as I was looking forward to trying on the top as well. I paid for registered mail for the 2 items but is kinda upset now that they have missed out the top.  I certainly hope they send me the navy top asap in registered mail since I paid for it and they missed out this item. I'm jst worried that they may 'ignore' my email.

Anyways, attached are pics of the dress in teal and my review:-

overall quite a nice piece, which you can wear to work tog with a jacket or wear for social functions. Material very comfortable. Initially thought that it may be too small for me but realise that it is stretchable at the back. Shows off a bit of your cleavage but not too overly sexy. Be very careful when ironing this piece as it is afterall matt satin material.

Didn't want to show my face cos I look like auntie today.  Maybe, that's why the prawn noodle stall auntie asked me about my children cos she presumed that I have kids alread...hahaha!

The teal colour looks a bit dull in real life but the colour turns out beautiful in pictues.  Love the teal colour to bits.

Pls pardon my messy wardrobe.

Praying hard that I will get my top soon.

So busy after coming back from our sugarmoon trip to London and Paris. Emails piled up... had to clear them before my email account go burst. Went back to work the next day, arrange for training schedules for my clients, etc. Overall, May was a very good month for my business.  Some updates:-

Engaged by Singapore Polytechnic School of Business to be a part-time lecturer from April to Sept.  I was very lucky as I did a seminar for the school about a year back.  One of the lecturer, Mr Andrew Lee, who happened to be the course leader for Selling and Sales Management Module, loved the way I conduct the seminars , that he called up one day to ask if I was keen to take up the offer to work as a part-time lecturer and be in charge of 5 classes of students.  I was pleasantly surprised.  Even though I graduated from NUS, Faculty of Building and Real Estate, while I was working , I took up an Advanced Certificate in Marketing with Chartered Institute of Marketing and at the same time, my working experiences were always in the area of Business Development, Marketing, Marketing Communications and Public Relations, hence Mr Lee thought that I was a suitable candidate.  After I accepted the post, he told me that in fact, all part-time lecturers have to go through an interview with the Dean but I was lucky that the Dean trusted his judgement and was happy with my CV.  It has been great interacting with my students and a lot of them will say "Hi" to me when I bumped into them in the school campus.  Being in their company allows me to learn more about the young adults of today and get to know their thoughts and the latest things they like.

My company has also won quite a number of government projects, most notably, as the grooming company for Youth Olympics Games 2010 volunteers.  Again, i will be training a group of about 270 youngsters from the various polytechnics, junior colleges and universities.  It is going to be very exciting to be part of this big event but of course, the pressure is there.

There is another great new coming up as well which I will reveal in the next post or maybe in the next few posts. I haven't had the time to prepare a press release for this new yet though.  Must really sit down and start work on that.

Wanted to post up pics which we took in Europe but super busy with work...sigh.  But this year has been great as I have managed to fulfill a few of my personal dreams and goals.  I will be using the last few months of this year to set a few more goals since my list is almost "depleted" already.

When I am stressed, I like to look at my darling baby Enzo.  He never fails make me smile.

Really can't figure out how he manages to sleep with his four legs sticking in the air but it sure is funny...hahaha!

He's trying to give me a kiss!

Now, he's licking my face.

We just enjoy each other's company.

One of my ex-colleague, Joyce, mentioned before that both me and Zozo look alike. Yes, I think so too!!
