Thanks to Science Centre Singapore and MediaCorp VizPro International Pte Ltd, my two boys and I had the chance to visit Circus! Science Under the Big Top.

This is part of Science Centre Singapore largest series of year- end blockbuster exhibitions to celebrate 40 years of inspiring science. Themed around the timeless topic with a broad appeal, Circus! Science Under the Big Top kick-starts the showcase and invites visitors to get a closer look at some of the most mind-boggling and death-defying circus acts. Visitors can satisfy their curiosity and immerse themselves in the science behind some of the iconic circus performances. The exhibition will run from 28 October 2017 to 18 March 2018.

Organised by Science Centre Singapore and Mediacorp VizPro International, Circus! Science Under the Big Top is a travelling exhibition originally from the Ontario Science Centre. It first opened in Toronto, Canada in 2001 and has undergone timely enhancements as it travelled across the world wowing over 600,000 visitors, including the UK and the US. The exhibition also celebrates the heritage of modern circus, specifically how it all started with Englishman Philip Astley who created a ring to bring together different performing acts back in 1768, nearly 250 years ago.

The Singapore edition features around 20 interactive exhibits. Visitors can experience how it feels to balance on a three metre High Wire or securing themselves to the harness in Elastic Acrobatics and perform aerial tricks like a trapeze artist to trying their hand at juggling. Explore the art of packanatomicalization (getting into small spaces) and find out if you have what it takes to fold yourself into a small box as the contortionists. Discover how science is at the heart of every circus act.

Additional activities have been planned to augment the science learning through activities such as magic performances on every Saturday and Sunday at 3.30pm from 28 October to 31 December, as well as a special magic workshop for children on 18 November where participants will learn the techniques behind time-tested magic tricks such as “Vanishing Tissue” and “I Know Your Number”.

Science Centre Singapore will also launch three other exhibitions, as part of its #unFOURgettable40 celebrations this year. The other three exhibitions are Phobia2 (28 October), Dialogue with Time – Embrace Ageing (10 November), and Above and Beyond (25 November). Together, the four exhibitions invite visitors to explore and understand the science behind intriguing phenomena in our lives that can be dissected and explained by scientific theories. More details about the exhibitions can be found at www.science.edu.sg or on the Science Centre Singapore’s Facebook page.

Admission to Circus! Science Under The Big Top is priced at $15 per child and $18 per adult. Promotional bundles are available at $52 for a family of four (2 adults and 2 child).

Is it possible to get a 'new' chin every two years within 5 mins?  Yes, it is and I just got my 'new' chin from The Clifford Clinic... yeah!

Actually, I had short and receding chin, which made my side profile less than perfect.  To push the chin out, there are a few options, namely:
  1. Chin Augmentation or Implant
  2. Jaw Surgery to push the chin out
  3. Using Fillers
When I first visited The Clifford Clinic and told Dr Gerald Ee about my short chin, he advised me to do fillers to see if I liked the results, before considering any chin implant or jaw surgery.  I thought this was a better idea as it was a temporary solution for about a year plus, without any risk to the body as it would be absorbed by the body without any harm.

Since I could see my temporary 'new' chin first, I said, "YES, let's do it!"

I even documented it in a blog post as I was very happy with the result.  Check out my previous blog post at: https://elaineheng.blogspot.sg/2015/07/juvederm-fillers-at-clifford-clinic-by.html

It had been close to two years since I did my chin fillers and most of it were absorbed already, so I went back to my favourite Aesthetics Clinic, The Clifford Clinic, to get my 'new' chin.

Let's take a look at the before photos, taken a few minutes before Dr Ee injected the fillers in the chin area for me.  My chin didn't look defined and yup, it was short and receding.

Dr Ee used Restylane fillers for my chin which is safe for the body.

Don't be scared by this needle cos it was super thin and everything was done under 5 mins.  So you can zip into The Clifford Clinic during lunchtime to get a 'new' chin and zip out to grab your lunch and no one will know but yet they will wonder why you suddenly look pretty!

Dr Ee is one of the most meticulous doctors I have ever seen.  Just look at how he did his 'measurement' to ensure that the area where he injected the fillers would make my 'new' chin look even and project out nicely.

And yes, the needle went in.

So was it painful?  I would say that it felt like an ant bite.  Anyways, it was done under 5 mins so everything was worth it when I saw my 'new' chin.

After the fillers were injected, Dr Ee has to use his judgement to knead the fillers in place.  I think this step is extremely important to get the nicest looking chin.

Hence ladies and gentlemen, if you are thinking of getting a 'new' chin like me, please find an experienced doctor like Dr Ee, who can create beautiful chins ya.

Look at how Dr Ee kneaded my new chin... he took a lot of care to give me my beautiful chin back again after two years.

And yes, we were almost done.  I couldn't wait to see my 'new' chin!

Check out my 'new' chin!  It looked so beautiful... OMG!  I am so loving it!

Now my chin looked more defined with a better projection when looking at the side profiles of my face.

Dr Ee has never failed me all these while hence I always go back to him whenever I need help with beauty aspects.

Super love my chin and so glad that it can long me for another two years before I redo it again.

Thanks Dr Gerald Ee for giving me a 'new' chin yet again!  Don't really know what to do without you.

It has been a while since I last visited Kenjo Salon.  I guessed it was time for a scalp and hair treatment to prepare my hair for a perm and colour, probably in another month's time.

For this visit, Joseph, owner of Kenjo Salon, suggested trying Davines NaturalTech scalp benefit treatment using the energizing range.

The first step was to use the Detoxifying Superactive to apply on the scalp.

Afterwhich, my hair was washed using Energizing Shampoo.

After my hair was throughly cleansed, a mask called Nourishing Restructuring Miracle was applied on my hair.

Every strand of hair was coated with the mask.

Afterwhich, my hair was steamed for 20 mins to allow the nourishing moisturising goodness of the mask to sip into the hair cuticles.

Back to the washing area to wash the mask off.

After my hair is throughly rinsed, energizing lotion was applying to my scalp to purifying it further and stimulate hair growth.

Finally, the lotion was massaged into the scalp to facilitate better absorption.

The final step before blowing drying my hair was applying this Replumping Hair Filler Superactive.

It gives an anti-frizz silky effect, adds more body and elasticity, invigorates & compacts hair structure, contains hyaluronic aide to replump hair and is totally paraben free.

It has to be sprayed onto damp hair before styling.

Soo Bin, my dearest beautiful hairstylist, was back in Singapore, after a month long of studying in London.  She's forever so sweet... always buying me presents whenever she goes overseas!

While she worked on styling my hair, my boy Kaiser, was happily getting his hair cut by Justin, another hairstylist.

The people in Kenjo Salon were so nice... cos Kaiser said he wanted a haircut as his hair was getting long, he was immediately attended to and he said there obediently to get his hair trimmed into shape by Justin.

See how happy he was sitting in the chair and getting his hair trimmed to a nice style.

Kaiser has actually a lot of hair... just look at the amount of hair trimmed away... hahaha!

I think this is the part which he enjoyed the most... applying hair wax to style the hair up.

Just look at my baby boy... he was all smiles when he looked at himself in the mirror.

Thanks Kenjo Salon for giving my boy a stylish hairstyle and making him so happy!
