My journalist friend from Nu You magazine asked me if I am keen to be interviewed by her for her anti-aging article which will come out in Oct issue 2010.  I thought, "Why not?" since I'm getting old and I am the right person she approached...hahaha!  Arrived at SPH Building in Genting Lane to do my makeup and hair and photoshoot, before we proceeded to the SPH canteen for a drink and an interview.

okie...that big photo is not me...I'm the one in the small picture..hahaha!

Been a long while since I update this blog cos I was up to my neck with lots of work.  Since now I'm taking a break from work in Dec, it's finally time to do some updates.  I was interviewed by FM93.8FM DJ Pamela and Stanley on 10 Aug 2010 with regards to Image Consultancy Services for Gentlemen.  Went over to the recording studio in Mediacorp at about 11am to meet up with the 2 DJs.

Yes, 93.8 Live has its own signboard in Mediacorp radio building!

Got to take one pic with the signboard for remembrance sake.

Here we are in the recording room.  As the staff who was supposed to help record down the interview was on last min MC and the replacement staff was on his way to Mediacorp, Stanley suggested we do recording on his recorder, rather than waiting.  So here we were, doing recording with Pamela doing the introductions.

The interview took on the mood of something light-hearted and casual.  We joked and laughed along the way.

Halfway through the interview.

The replacement staff arrived and we decided to redo the interview again but this time round, we recorded the session using the professional equipment that you see in the photos.

 ok...on air now!

 Listening to the recorded conversation.

Looking through the next set of questions for interview...

ok, interview was finally done and we took a photo using Stanley's camera.

A photo taken from my camera.  Stanley joked that he felt like a superstar, taking so many photos!

I am not using HTC handphone but Daddy is and when his hp broke down within 1 year of usage, he asked me to help to arrange for repairs with HTC service centre and this was what happened...

I am very extremely disappointed with the HTC Hotline and the free pickup and delivery service provided.

Firstly, calling the HTC hotline was a hassle and chore beacause the line is forever engaged and I could only get through after numerous tries.  Luckily, the house phone could be put on speaker mode, so I could still do my work while waiting for someone on the other end to pick up.  After getting through the line, the HTC customer care people didn't know how to speak proper English and I had to explain a few times before they could understand the problem.

After the HTC phone was repaired which took about 5 working days(not counting the weekends), I received an sms from their courier side on 16 Sept 2010 asking me to pick up th phone from HTC counter at Vivocity on 17 Sept after 1 pm. I called the person in charge of courier up and checked with him nicely if he can deliver to me directly to my house on 17 Sept 2010.

Maybe he was upset about working today or something as his attitude was very nasty and asked me a few times if I was certain that I will be at home.  I already mentioned that, "Yes, today I will be around and he commented sarcastically, "Oh, It's raining so you don't want to work is it?" I work from home and when there is no training, I do the rest of my admin work from home but I think his comments are uncalled for.

After that, he said that it is raining very heavily so they can't do any delivery at all.  What an excuse! If everyone doesn't work when it is raining, I think S'pore economy will die sooner or later.  The reason why we require courier service is that it is much more convenient for customers.  If courier service doesn't want to work on raining days, then why do we need them for?!  After I told him that "Yes, I will be definitely at home.", he still insisted that they can't do any delivery.

When I asked how come the courier cannot do delivery, he gave another excuse and said, "Oh, cos we scared that we can't contact you when we deliver to your place and he started complained that he couldn't contact me yesterday." I had to do training yesterday afternoon and couldn't pick up my phone when I was working yet he used this as an excuse not to deliver.

Only after some time, he agreed to deliver the repaired handphone to me on 17 Sept but he kept saying that they will deliver anytime from 2.30 to 6pm, which I understand cos I'm not asking them or demanding them to deliver to me at a specific time.

This very bad experience made me think twice about getting a HTC phone again next time.  If next time Daddy wants to get a HTC handphone, I'm gonna to kill him for sure...hahaha!

On a serious note, I hope HTC can work on the courier service side to ensure that customers are not subjected to any of such nonsense again.

Met up with my girlfriends from SIA after....gosh...8 years!  Presenting to you... Serene and Christie and now we have a new additional baby Samuel, Christie's baby boy!

We met in Paragon to have tea.  Yes, it was very relaxing to just sit and chit chat to catch up after so long.  My gfs all looked so pretty after so many years.
We talked about motherhood, our days in SIA Training Centre and our common girlfriends whom we got to know in SIA, etc.

Serene is still flying with SIA.  She's still so pretty despite the hectic flying schedule.

I remembered she had long hair when we were doing training in SIA Training Centre.

Christie is now a mother of one.  Wow... time flies!

Her baby boy is so cute!  His eyes are as round as Mummy Christie!

I'm praying that my bean bean will have big round eyes like Samuel!

Serene was very kind to give us doggy lollipops for our dogs!

Was invited to do 2 talks for Style Magazine/Calvin Klein Underwear Event on 11 Sept 2010.  The first session was from 2pm to 3.30pm and 2nd session from 4 to 5.30pm.  For the first session, Style Fashion Editor will cover the latest CK underwear,Envy whereas for my segment, I will talk about fitting checks and shoes.  Was very funny as we did the sessions inside the CK Underwear store in Paragon.

Daddy and I reached Paragon by about 1230pm hence we walked around to source for our lunch.  Ended up in this Japanese shop that sells skewers.  Couldn't remember the name of the shop but it was Daddy's fav.  Definitely not mine cos I don't really like the skewers that much and we had all meat skewers and rice for lunch.

The shop has a small counter with seats so we decided to grab seats inside for our lunch.

After lunch, we walked around Paragon as it was still pretty early.  There were a lot of shops selling cute bb items and clothes on 5th floor.  This picture was taken by Daddy from the 3rd floor.

We walked till about 1.30pm and went over to CK Underwear store.

Met up with Style Editor, May, Shi Ling and Shin Yee from CK.

Guests strolling in...

We were having a chat while Daddy was trigger happy.

More guests coming in...

May revealed that she was a lecturer with Republic Polytechnic before her current Style Editor job.

Joyce and Celine from Style Magazine helping guests regarding registration.

The board that says it all!

Everyone going in to get ready...

As Shi Ling mentioned that they didn't get any professional photographers for this event, Daddy volunteered his services and he became the unofficial photographer for the day.

The store was getting packed with people as we are about to start.

Sharon, Fashion Editor of Style Magazine, started the first session, going through the 3 different coverages and the latest lunch, Envy.

Listening to Sharon's presentation, while waiting for my turn.

The pretty model came out, wearing the Envy collection in nude.

Sharon went on to talk about fashion trend and how it ties in with Envy collection in black.

The lovely model came out again, this time in a CK Jeans dress, looking fabulous!

Gorgeous and Tall!

Daddy taking pics of the rows of CK briefs on the shelves.

Model came out in Envy collection in black.

This was the piece she wore inside the black dress.

Sharon also mentioned about the underwear that goes with the bra.

The 3 coverages of CK Underwear.

Simply love this bra set in smoke colour, another one of Envy collection.

The model looked cool and poised despite so many pairs of eyes staring at her while she was only clothed with CK Envy bra and undies.  Very professional.

Sharon talked about wearing nude colour underwear underneath white colour shirts.

CK Jeans has very nice casual attires!

Now's my turn to do the talk!

Chose a`grey top for my model to show how horizontal lines work to enhance the bust.

I love this white top on the model.  Makes her look so sweet!

Getting people from the audience to participate in my talk.  I always make my talk interactive so as not to bore the audience.

This is a really funny pic. Daddy took a pic of Joyce who was taking a photo of me.  So I'm inside the photo..hahaha!

Another jacket which I chose for the model from CK Jeans.  Biker rugged style, yet very feminine!

People shopping after the event.

Daddy and I went down to Cova Patisserie on the first level of Paragon to have our afternoon tea while we wait for the 2nd session to start.

Camwhoring while waiting for our high tea to come.

Finally, the royal high tea set which we ordered arrived on our table.

Daddy kept looking at the next table and wondered how come our Royal High Tea set is different from theirs.  I asked the waitress and she confirmed that it is the correct one.  We came to the conclusion that it is up to the chef to decide what to place on the platter since every table is different.

Our tea.  I took Camomile whereas Daddy had Promegranate Ruby.

Daddy enjoying his food.

Total damage is about S$36 plus.

My talk for the 2nd session from 4pm onwards.  Content remained the same, just different set of audience.

Headed to Daddy's office after work so that he can tie up some loose ends at work.  Yup, we worked on sats too!
