Guess where I was with my friends on 1 Mar 2016?  The partial image of a car behind probably will give you a clue. ;)

Yes, we were all at the simultaneous launch event of Aston Martin DB11 at the new landmark Aston Martin showroom on Leng Kee Road. DB11 was unveiled to audiences in both Geneva and Singapore at 21.00 SGT, a testament to Aston Martin's enduring global appeal.

So glad to catch up with all my friends at the Aston Martin launch.  All of us were so excited about DB11.

The DB11 made its global debut on 1st March 2016 at the 86th International Geneva Motor Show and all the invited guests were so lucky to get a close look at DB11.

Bobby Tonelli, celebrity DJ and actor, was the emcee for that night.

One of the only two DB11 at the moment, was covered up in black clothes, keeping us in suspense.

Mr Patrik Nilsson, Asia Pacific Regional Director for Aston Martin, was also in Singapore to give a speech before unveiling DB11.

The DB11 was unveiled by Mr Patrik Nilsson, Asia Pacific Regional Director for Aston Martin, and Mr Pang Cheong Yan, Managing Director, Prestige Division, Wearnes Automotive, in front of more than 200 illustrious guests and VIPs. The unveiling heralds a new chapter in Aston Martin‟s 103- year history, as DB11 is the first product launched under the company's "Second Century‟ plan.

The unveiling started at 21.00 SGT sharp.

Oh my goodness... Just look at this magnificent car!

I couldn't resist taking a photo with DB11.  This DB11 has such an amazing hue of red which is not overpowering and has an intriguing feel to it.

The DB11 showcases a fresh and distinctive design language, pioneering aerodynamics and a potent new in-house designed 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine. Built upon a new lighter, stronger, and more space efficient bonded aluminium structure, DB11 is the most powerful, most efficient and most dynamically gifted DB model in Aston Martin‟s history. As such it is the most significant new Aston Martin since the introduction of the DB9 in 2003.

In Dr Andy Palmer, Aston Martin Chief Executive Officer's words, he said “We aspire to make the most beautiful cars in the world. DB11 is the absolute embodiment of what an Aston Martin should be and we have worked tirelessly to ensure that DB11 combines both exceptional design with the latest technology throughout. A brand new bonded aluminium platform, clever aerodynamics, a new characterful twin-turbo V12 and class-leading infotainment systems are just a few aspects which make this the sports car that will proudly spearhead Aston Martin's second century plan.”

The DB11's heart is a 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12. This new engine develops 608 PS1 (600 BHP1) and 700Nm1 of torque, making DB11 the most powerful production DB model ever. Naturally, it is the most dynamic and most accelerative too, with a top speed of 322km/h1 and a 0-100km/h time of just 3.9sec1

DB11 combines the very latest technology developed in conjunction with technical partner, Daimler, with the finest quality and hand craftsmanship. Using a full-colour 12” TFT LCD display, the all-new instrument cluster presents primary vehicle information with absolute clarity, while a second, centrally-mounted 8” TFT screen is dedicated to infotainment. Controlled via an intuitive rotary control, with an optional touchpad offering character recognition, multi-touch and gesture support, the new satellite navigation and audio system have never been more effective, sounded better or been easier to operate. A newly implemented auto-park assist feature and 360-degree birds-eye view camera, also operated via the car‟s infotainment system, ensures safe maneuvering at slow speeds.

This was one of those times when you didn't want to get out of a car.

Love,
Elaine Heng

Luxury British sports car brand Aston Martin extends its presence in Singapore with the opening of an impressive new showroom and aftersales facility on 30th Oct 2015.  The new Aston Martin showroom and workshop are located at Wearnes Automotive Pte Ltd, 45 Leng Kee Road, Singapore 159103.
The development of the luxurious new facility by dealer partner Wearnes Automotive, appointed by Aston Martin on 31 August 2015, significantly strengthens the brand’s presence in Singapore.

To mark the occasion, and on the eve of the Singapore premiere of the new James Bond film Spectre, the bespoke Aston Martin DB10 was unveiled for the first time in Singapore by Dan Balmer, Head of Global Marketing for Aston Martin, and Andre Roy, Chief Executive Officer, Wearnes Automotive.

I was extremely lucky to be one of the first few to see Aston Martin DB10 on 30th Oct launch.

Also on display at the event was the only DB9 GT Bond Edition in Singapore. In celebration of Aston Martin’s long-standing association with James Bond, and in keeping with the marque’s history of creating exclusive and collectable models, a limited global production run of 150 DB9 GT Bond Edition models was recently announced.

Based on the new 540 bhp DB9 GT, the car has a uniquely desirable specification featuring unique Spectre Silver paint, discreet ’007 Bond Edition’ badging and elegant James Bond themed accessories.

Let's take a look at DB9 up close and personal.

How can I let go of this opportunity to take a photo of this magnificent machine?

This is Aston Martin DB10.  A super sexy machine that turns me on!

The Aston Martin DB10 was developed and designed specifically for the new Bond film, with production strictly limited to just 10 sports cars. It is the latest in the long line of Aston Martins to feature in the James Bond films, a partnership that began over half a century ago with the iconic DB5 in 1964’s Goldfinger.

Totalling 570 square metres of showroom and workshop space, Aston Martin Singapore is one of the largest integrated sales and aftersales facilities in Southeast Asia. Designed and built in line with Aston Martin’s exacting corporate standards, the new showroom exudes class and delivers a first class experience to luxury car buyers.

Let's take a look at the workshop which is located right behind the showroom.  This car was hoisted up so that guests could see the intricacy of the car from underneath.

ok, I decided to drive this baby away.

Just look at that beautiful logo on the steering wheel!

Hhmm... it was one of the cars in the workshop.  I couldn't drive it away at all... hahaha!

Wow... I love the special bar set up at the centre of the showroom, offering wines, cocktails and of course, martini, shaken not stirred... hahaha!

The guests couldn't stop admiring Aston Martin DB10 and taking photos of it and with it.

Some of the canapés for the night...

A photo with all my awesome buddies.  They are Warren Kok, from the media and also a luxury lifestyle instagrammer, followed by myself, and Tony Seow, an award winning entrepreneur, Founder and ex-owner of Purple Sage and Yi Jin, a successful businessman and corporate network influencer.  (From left to right)

A nice Aston Martin thumbdrive.  Very cool!

One last look at the Aston Martin DB10, before I called it a night.
