[Media Invite] Shanghai Tang Celebrated the Global Launch of Its Spring Summer 2016 Collection with a Spectacular Fashion Show in Singapore

Shanghai Tang a premier luxury lifestyle brand from China, hosted its first ever fashion show in Singapore to celebrate the global launch of its Spring Summer 2016 collection on 3 Mar 2016.

Held on 03 March 2016 at one of Singapore’s most historical landmarks, The Clifford Pier located at The Fullerton Bay Hotel, the fashion show was attended by over 400 well- heeled society and fashion elite.

I was glad to be one of the few to check out Shanghai Tang Spring Summer 2016 collection.

Among the guests were society doyennes Susanna Han and Grace Chng, award-winning artistic director Ivan Heng, as well as celebrities Shane Pow, Paul Foster, Oon Shu An, Sheila Sim and Ase Wang.

Photo-time with some of the celebrities at the fashion show.

The grand hall of the Clifford Pier was transformed into a fashion runway where 25 models strutted down in the latest Spring Summer 2016 collection.

As the global curator of modern Chinese aesthetics, Shanghai Tang celebrates the season with a glorious fusion between the Orient and the West.

I sat there waiting in anticipation for the fashion show to start.

The Spring Summer 2016 women’s collection radiates pure optimism with whites, brights and patterns that burst with summer vibrancy.

Vivid fabrics of Mao Tribe are reinterpreted into layers of contrasting brights, graphic shapes and embroideries.

Pure Sophistication triumphs with bright, carefree, cruise-inspired pieces with clean silhouettes, lavish gemstones and stud embellishments.

1960s nostalgia comes to play with a palette of bright pastels, paired with warm neutrals and giant pop art florals in summer shades, as well as big bold prints on simple silhouettes.

The evening wear pieces were stunning to the max.

The Spring Summer 2016 men’s collection features a playful mix of formal and everyday, where bright colours go to the boardroom and suiting goes weekend.

Summer sunshine brings a new confidence with a return to statement patterns for men. Wild, freeform graphics and large geometrics add attitude to a classic two-piece suit.

Riviera chic infiltrates the boardroom with crisp spring tailoring.

Laidback weekend suiting and deconstructed blazers update the office in playful ink blue, aqua and green.

Below are some more photos which i took during the fashion show.
