UNIQLO presents its first collaboration with the iconic British brand Liberty London!

I was very excited to receive the media invite to attend the launch of Liberty London for Uniqlo collaboration on 24th Mar 2016.  The iconic British brand Liberty London and UNIQLO have jointly created a unique line that marries history with modernity.

As an image consultant, I was curious to see this latest collaboration collection.

The collaboration fuses a selection of floral prints from the iconic Liberty archives with a variety of UNIQLO items; this unique melding of past and future creates a brave new fashion style perfect for the present.

Beautiful Liberty prints in a variety of patterns have been combined by UNIQLO to create a collection to delight and present to customers around the world.

UNIQLO opened its first overseas store in London in September 2001. Liberty London, a beloved brand with an enormous influence on fashion and culture, was one of the companies UNIQLO focused on since that time, and one day hoped to partner with to offer new ideas to the world. That dream has now become a reality. Liberty London, which has assimilated culture from Japan, East Asia, and the entire world over its 140 year history, has teamed up with UNIQLO who are enriching peoples’ lives through clothing, to create a new collection fusing tradition and innovation.

In line with the re-launch of UNIQLO’s completely revamped global flagship store on London’s iconic Oxford street, only a short distance away from the Liberty London global flagship store, the collaboration proudly supports London and its local and global customers.

Couldn't resist taking photos with the models who were dressed in this collection.

I loved how the layering was done to make the prints stand out.

Trying my hands on flatlay.  I still have so much room for improvement.

UNIQLO is proud to have influential image-maker, Nick Knight, shoot the collaboration. As a pivotal figure in fashion photography for several decades, Nick brings his own unique vision to the fusion of UNIQLO and Liberty London. In addition to this, UNIQLO has collaborated with CHAOS Fashion, a partnership between Charlotte Stockdale and Katie Lyall, on the creative concept for the project. CHAOS Fashion is a London-based unique and expressive creative hub working on product development, branding, styling and creative direction.

The collection features six Kids products, eleven Women’s products, two Men’s products and will be priced between $12.90 and $59.90. It will be available from 24th March and a second batch is expected to be launched in mid-April. Items will be available at all stores but the full collection can be found at Bugis+, Jem®, Parkway Parade, and Suntec City.
